I regret that I must start this message with
words of sadness. The sadness is the
Basileus Corner announcement that this is the last issue of
“The EGO Ivy Informer” of which
Soror Wilma J. Ruffin Soror Latoyia Clemons will serve as
Editor. Special thanks to Soror Latoyia
for serving as our Editor for two years.
She rejuvenated
our newsletter
and conducted a
“name the newsletter contest” and the name become known – “THE EGO
Ivy Informer.” Soror Latoyia, we are forever grateful to you for your
dedication, service and leadership. Gratitude is the heart’s memory. Thank
you very much (French Proverb).
Sorors, thank you for your vote of confidence by re-electing me to serve as your Basileus for another
two-year term. I am thankful for my continuous growth and development through Alpha Kappa
Alpha, the knowledge gained through studying and participation, leadership opportunities and the
blessing of serving as Basileus of “the best” chapter. It is indeed a pleasure to serve with a humble
spirit of gratitude and appreciation to each of you. Thank you for all that you did in 2016, to make
Epsilon Gamma Omega the beacon of service that this community respects and acknowledges.
