Congratulations to Soror Courtney Battle, Soror Antonia “Toni” Crutcher and Soror Davina Patterson. Epsi-
lon Gamma Omega (EGO ) has not one, not two, but three members who were selected to participate in the
South Eastern Region’s Inaugural Glenda Glover Leadership Institute of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, In-
corporated®! There were 45 candidates selected, but no other chapter in the entire region had three select-
          ees! EGO is soaring!
Over the summer EGO has been busy. EGO experienced the graduation of our first cohort of the Youth
Leadership Initiative (YLI) students. The program led by Sorors Cynthia Massey, Kimberly Collier, Jackie
Frost, and Latoya Patton is second to none! The Empower Our Families Initiative then orchestrated a zoom
event on how to use the iPhone and the Android. The participants were so engaged, they requested another
training session! Continuous black dollar Fridays were exemplified in June under the Building Our Econom-
ic Wealth Initiative – don’t forget to post your total dollars spent. I know we made an impact on our commu-
          nity!
The Juneteenth collaboration was also noteworthy – the collective efforts of the Uplift Our Community En-
hance Our Environment, and the Advocate For Social Justice Initiatives featuring the Juneteenth community
conversation at the Bob Harrison Center. The Strengthen Our Sisterhood (SOS) Foundation Initiative re-
mained very busy as well with packing and distributing supplies. Our Soror Squads were busy wrapping up
the summer with a big and pretty pink and green bow by packing and distributing supplies.
