They also participated in the SOS AKAdemy Leadership Development Forums.

The Enhance Our Environment Initiative Community and Home Gardens subcommittee partnered with
the Bulldog Garden to host a “Basic Gardening Workshop”, which was very educational.

The Health and Wellness Awareness Committee hosted a Family and Friends Cardiopulmonary Resuscita-
tion training, via a hands-on experience as an American Heart Association Class. Special kudos to Soror
Dana Jones, Soror Lorna Howell and the entire committee.

Within our community, a few of our Sorors met with Commissioner Edwards which was quite enlighten-
ing. Stay tuned Sorors for opportunities to collaborate with District 6 Representatives. Additionally, the
Uplift our Community Initiative volunteered at the ShowerUp at the Living Room for a humbling and nec-
essary event to support the communities homeless.
Many Sorors soared to and at Leadership in Chicago! Due to the chapter vote to support the SE Region,
EGO was recognized as one the ten Diamond Level sponsors! Stay tuned for the upcoming “benefits” of
being a Diamond sponsor! EGO salutes Soror Cheryl Davis and Soror Lorraine Lacy for their participa-
           tion at the International level.

EGO participated in the Celebrating Education Parade and Festival, which was led by the Advocate for
Social Justice Initiative – A Wonderful Day!
EGO concluded the summer events (and there were some I’m sure I missed), with our Celebration of Sis-
terhood. Acknowledgements go out to the SOS Initiative, Membership and Sisterly Relations Committee
for the preparation, planning and execution of a job well done!
