The Epsilon Gamma Omega (EGO) Chapter of Alpha Kappa Al-
pha Sorority, Incorporated ®, was established at Alabama A&M
College on March 19, 1949. The charter members were J. E. T.
Bulls, Iola Seaborn, Edith Shockley Wolfrey, E. Bernice Johnson,
Evangeline Spillman, Lilease Hall, Alpha Kappa Alpha Founder -
Harriet J. Terry, Ruth Carter, Fannie Pulley Thompson and Anne
Gardner Eady. At the same time, the undergraduate chapter, Gam-
ma Mu, was also chartered. EGO Chapter President, Tonya S.
Wood is pictured with EGO’s only living charter member, Dia-
mond Member, Fannie Pulley Thompson.
