SOS - MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE'S

COMMUNITY SERVICE

We are blessed, so we want to be a blessing to others. That was the theme
of EGO's Membership Committee latest endeavor, which was a three-part
community service project entitled "SOS" - "Serving Our Sorors", "Serving

Our Seniors" and "Serving Our Staff". For the first part - "Serving Our
Sorors", committee members volunteered to honor our chapter healthcare
professionals on the frontline during the pandemic by sending them gift

cards for lunch. The second component was "Serving Our Senior", which
involved committee and family members sending "Thinking of You" cards to
the seventy-two residents of Willow Run Adventist Towers. A staff member
informed us she cried when she saw the cards. She noted that the cards

would brighten the day of the residents who don't have visitors due to social
distancing. Lastly, committee members provided lunch for the staff at
Willow Run Adventist Towers and Huntsville Adventist Apartments. Many
thanks to the members who donated to this effort!
