Welcome Message
Dear EYFS and Primary Parents and Carers
A Park Lane Press Present for our Five Senses
This Winter Term 2023 edition of the EYFS and Primary Park Lane Press is a true delight for you to read. Each and every page is packed with pictures of activities and projects showing the EYFS and Primary schools at their very best.
I have read each page carefully and wish to spotlight on our five basic senses of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch as a focus.
Sense of Taste
Our school nurse, Miss Kateřina Davidová, has shared a report with us about the EYFS and Primary screening programmes for dental and oral hygeine, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and eye testing. Thank you for helping us to keep healthy and happy.
Sense of Sound
Miss Karolina Linhová, Prague 5 admin administration, shares a lovely report of how the boys and girls at the Nessie Pre- school enjoyed playing and making music in the Timbalooloo workshops.
Sense of Sight
Mr Petr Kučera, Primary Czech Teacher, shares with us his interview with his Czech students who have enjoyed looking and reading his book titled Pohár Macadamia.
Sense of Touch
Miss Zoe, our Year 1 Teaching Partner, reports on the new tuff trays in the Year 1 classrooms to help the boys and girls with their key skills of touch and fine motor skills
Sense of Smell
The Year 5 educational trip to the Chocotopia museum shows us how the smell of chocolate can be true delight to all the forty five students in this year group. Thank you Miss Lily, Year 5 Class Teacher, for this report in the PLP.
I hope you enjoy reading this Park Lane Press during the Christmas holidays and share all our news with your friends and family.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year at a time of the year when there are so many things to appeal to our five basic senses.
Kind regards and best wishes
Joe Eyles
Vice Principal, Head of EYFS & Primary Park Lane International School
