Going Pumpkin Picking
What a wonderful day Nursery and Reception children had on Friday. They visited a pump- kin farm which is the traditional trip in Au- tumn for the Early Years children. It is a lovely farm where the children can see how the pumpkins and other vegetables have grown. They were informed about different kinds
of pumpkins by the farmer, Mr Honza, they could pet a rabbit, look around the garden, see the chickens, take a ride on a tractor, and play in the sandpit. The children finished this trip by eating a bowl of delicious pumpkin soup.

Beetle Drive House Event
As usual, there was a great buzz with the Beetle Drive house event. Our Y5 House Captains were a terrific help and are looking forward to all events this year. Thank you
to Mrk Mark for helping with the event and leading the House Captains.

▨ It was an honour to lead my house Fire and it was a nice experience.
▨ But it was a little loud because every- body was talking with their house team and shouting beetle.
▨ It was nice helping everybody, mostly Year 1 and Year 2
Aquathlon
Our pupils took part in a second Swim and Run competition during the first term. The children enjoyed swimming in the Šutka aquacentrum and Čimický Háj was a beautiful place for running in the autumn leaves. All pupils showed excellent sportsmanship and supported each other during swimming and running. They also had some time to play in the forest playground afterwards and had lots of fun in the fresh air together.

What did the pupils say?
Františka: “I enjoyed everything, especially the running because it felt shorter than it actually was.”
Zuzka: ”Swimming was great fun!”
Freya: “I enjoyed both running and swimming. But my favorite was swimming and
I liked the area for running.”
Daniel: “I really enjoyed the whole thing; swimming the most as the water was not cold and I tried my best. Running was shorter than the Park Lane Mile and easier for me.” Noah: “I enjoyed everything, mostly the running in the park and free time in the forest where we could play afterwards.”
Simon: “I enjoyed swimming the most because I swim twice a week and I am fast.” Honza: "I liked it all, especially the time we could play in the park after the race."
Ben: “I actually loved swimming, the pool was not as deep as I thought it would be.”
