Terrific Timbalooloo
On Tuesday 8th November, the children
at Prague 5 Nessie experienced the first session of the Timbalooloo workshop. It is a musical workshop based on the educa- tional method of Oran Etkin. During the session, children were learning about instruments like ukulele and djembe, they tried to play on them. They were dancing, clapping and using shakers to follow the rhythm and sound. Children really enjoyed the session and they are looking forward to next Tuesday for another one.

Happy Halloween
The children had a great time making decorations and parading in their cos- tumes. They also learnt a song and dance to perform for their parents called ‘Spooky Spooky’.

Year 4 Visit Comenius
Museum
Year 4 recently took part in a trip to the comenius museum in Prague 1. Here the children extended their learning about schools in the past and in particular, about the development of schools within the Czech Republic. The children also got to write their names in an ancient bohemi- an script, type on an old typewriter and practice their handwriting skills using
a quill and ink.
Y6 Roald Dahl Day
Each year Y6 pupils celebrate Roald Dahl day and this year was no exception. It was great to see all of the costumes and the pupils and staff had a splendid time.
Roald Dahl facts:
▨ He invented more than 500 new words and character names.
▨ He wrote most of his books in his gar- den shed.
▨ One of his most famous books almost had a different name.
▨ His books were inspired by the people and things around him.
▨ Roald Dahl fought in WW2 and was a spy
