You can come over and do some Hard Corps.” I am a champ today at suppressing
teen boy giggles. The realization of what she said is all over her face. “I mean you
AND your woman can come over while we do the Tony Horton workouts. Just a
            suggestion.”
I figure I’d let her dangle long enough. “Relax. I’ll help you, but it must be on

my schedule. I have a baby coming and all.” She nods. “I usually work out at 5 AM.
You can come along, and we can work out together. For this to work, I will need to
            raid your pantry and such.”
She looks crestfallen yet determined. I look at her body again; she is thick but
not overweight. Her legs are shapely, and her breasts are full. My eyes may have
lingered on them longer than expected. If I were single, I’d hit it. She probably has
ten to fifteen pounds to lose, so I can’t help but ask.
“Why twenty-five pounds in three months?”
She shrugs. “Same ‘ole story. Wedding.” My eyes slide to her naked ring finger.
“Not mine. I’m a bridesmaid, and we were asked to pick our own dresses as long as
they were the same color. Well, I fell in love with a lovely dress, but it’s a size four.”
She takes another sip of her lemonade before continuing.
“The last time I was a size four was three years and twenty-five pounds ago.”

She looks out the window; her brown eyes squinting with slight irritation. She is
remembering something that bothers her. She continues looking out of the
            window but finishes her thought.
“I bought the dress on a whim. You know – defiance and all. I figured if all else
failed, I would get another one. Well, the boyfriend laughed and said it was an
impossible feat. The other people we were with didn’t laugh but no one disagreed
            with him either.”
What an asshole. “I take it that didn’t sit well with you,” I prompt. She grins
and turns her eyes back to me.
“I lost my shit.” She covers her face and laugh at the memory. “I told them that
I would wear it. Then, I told them that I would look damn good, and they could all
            suck it.”
I laugh and nod. “So, now it’s time to put up or shut up. It’s not going to be
easy. That’s almost ten pounds a month. We have to make sure you’re burning fat
and losing inches. If you lose enough inches, you’ll be able to fit it without losing
            the whole twenty-five pounds.”
