lips wrap around my damp fingers, sucking her juices off them while I empty
everything I have inside of her.
Damn. She’s dirty, hot, and mine.

I stare at my engagement ring glittering in the sunlight. It’s beautiful; the
solitaire diamond rests on a platinum band that resembles a nautical rope. The right
side of the ring connects to the diamond with an infinity knot, and the left connects
with an anchor. I tear up every time I see it. It’s so us. The obviously custom ring
ensures me that Henri had planned it in advance with great thought.
I still can’t believe it; I’m about to become Mrs. Henri Zidane. He’d kept his
promise and delivered a romantic yet somehow still unexpected proposal.
Honestly, I thought he was just telling me what I wanted to hear, so when we’d
arrived to the extremely beautiful Californian beach resort yesterday morning, I’d
accepted the fact that I would be marrying the love of my life without a decent
proposal. I was wrong.
Since we had arrived the day before the wedding that I didn’t know I was
having, our entire morning had been a blur of finalizing details. I’d also had the
chance to meet the wedding dress I didn’t date. I was surprised to find that not only
did I like it, it’s possible I would’ve picked it for our simple wedding. The cream
dress is strapless with a satin princess bodice that hugs my waist and flows into a
flirty knee length tulle and lace skirt.
The on-site seamstress pulled and pinned it until the fit was perfection. I
couldn’t help but twirl carefully; I didn’t want become a human pin cushion.
I then understood why Henri decided to help plan the wedding; he knew that
I would not want something big and complicated like Tala’s wedding. His
participation kept the moms in check, and I knew the nautical items were his idea
like the navy nautical knot rope belt for my dress.
