Partnerships
We enjoyed total community involvement. We developed several partnerships with organizations that were enthusiastic about coming
together to enhance each other’s programs. There is power in partnerships, both financial as well as in-service hours. Tajiri Arts did
extremely well in this area by partnering with the following organizations:
• Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
• Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity
• Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community
• Boys and Girls Club of Seminole County
• Calvary Temple of Praise, Bishop Paul P. Wright, Pastor
• Crealdé School of the Arts
• Department of Juvenile Justice
• First Baptist Church, Reverend Wendell Bishop, Jr., Pastor
• Florida African American Heritage Preservation Network
• Goldsboro Museum
• The Grove Counseling Center
• The Harris Nest (The Original Proprietors, Mr. Frank and Mrs. Montez Harris, were the First Black Millionaires in Sanford,
Florida. Currently, Mrs. Cynthia Smith, Director of Golden Rule, Inc. is housed in this Historic Home)
• Hopper Academy Community Improvement Association, Inc.
• Housing Authority of Seminole County
• Mrs. Daphne Humphrey, Daughter of Sanford’s First Midwife, Mrs. Marie Francis (Owner of the Historical Rev. John M.
Hurston Home, Father of Famed Author Zora Neale Hurston)
