My dad was a sportsman, who played football and baseball in high school. For two years, he played at Edward Waters College in
Jacksonville, Florida. In his later years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf. For a short while, he taught in a one-room school

building in Geneva, Florida. At that time, you only needed two years of college to serve as a teacher for the primary grades.
