   Hat-trick for Hospitals

I'm raising money for Nottingham Hospitals Charity and Nottingham Forest Community Trust.
Both these amazing local charities make a huge difference to the Nottingham community.
In 2012, I raised over £1,000 for Prostate Cancer, in memory of my grandfather, Tom Jones OBE,
who passed away in November 2011. I did six events ranging from mountain climbing to half
marathons. Ten years on, and it's safe to say a lot has changed in my life. I met my wife, Ruby, in
2012 whilst I was embarking on my numerous challenges. We got married in 2014 and had our
son, Albert in September 2015. That's where the Nottingham Hospitals Charity come in.
Albert was born prematurely at 35 weeks, weighing 3 pounds and measuring only 27cm from
head to toe. He was safely delivered by the wonderful staff at Nottingham City Hospital but due to
his size and weight he was rushed to the Neonatal unit and received 24 hour round the clock care
by the fantastic nurses. Two weeks passed and it was finally time to bring our son home, but we
never really got chance to say thank you to all of those people who looked after Albert, as the hard
                           work of parenting properly began!
So, in light of all this, after a 10 year hiatus, I am returning to the fundraising trail for an even
bigger go at it. So here's how it will go with these events in 2022:
5th March - NFFC to SUFC Walk // 30th April - Hyrox London- the world's biggest indoor fitness competition
15th May - Carsington 7 (repeat of the event ran in 2012) // June - English Heritage site to site walk
9th July - Peak District Challenge - 25km // August - National Trust site to site walk
    October - TBC // 12th November - run Alton 10k
As I am going bigger and better than in 2012, I have increased my target goal to £2,000. I will
    update as I go!
