STUDENT SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - HIGTI

The Students Social Responsibility club - HIGTI, is an initiative of
DOMS to produce leaders who are ethical and socially responsible.

Established in May 2021, the club aims to create an inclusive
environment wherein our students will embrace responsibilities to serve the
community. DOMS acknowledges the talent of its students, their ambitions

and thus, this club has been formed.

The club has five verticals, wherein each vertical works for projects on
thematic areas such as Education, Health care, Environment, Women

empowerment and Village Adoption . The club empowers students by
providing opportunities to participate in social outreach programs so as

to enable them to serve the underprivileged sections of society and
enhance their quality of life by willingly contributing skills and

knowledge.

During the course of the year, the students at DOMS have
actively participated in initiatives where they contribute their

knowledge, skills and technical expertise to the community. HIGTI at DOMS
encourages and propels students to imbibe the qualities of

enlightened leadership and thereby instills in them a level of trust and
confidence about themselves and the community. Dr. L. Kanagalakshmi is

the faculty co-ordinator of SSR - Higti.
