President’s Message
Greetings friends,
irst and foremost, the FPGA is an awesome organization filled with won-
derful people! I have worked side by side with many of you throughout
Fthe years and proud to call you all my friends. My family and I thank you
for this opportunity to serve you as President!
I entered the Propane Gas industry back in 1988. My parents, Ron and
Edna Bahr, bought a mobile home park with a dispenser in Zephyrhills, Fl in
the 1970’s. They continued to own and operate the park until they sold in the
early 90’s to travel and enjoy retirement. When they sold, my brother Lenny
had the opportunity to continue dispensing gas at a new location which then
became Bahr’s Propane Gas & A/C, Inc. Lenny had the vision of growing the
Kevin J. Bahr business by purchasing a few 100lb cylinders and a small, extremely old used
Bahr’s Propane Gas & A/C bulk truck. If it were not for Lenny we would not be here today, so Thank you
FPGA President
Lenny! After 6 years in the Air Force, I knew I had to come home and be
a part of our newly established family business. A decision I am extremely
proud of and have never regretted.
As most of you know, I also carry a state license in air conditioning. Those
that know me, know my heart will always be with the propane gas industry. I
have not found an industry that not only cares about family but one that also
carries tremendous respect for each other.
I would like to thank Brian, Robbie, Todd, and all the past President’s that
have given me the confidence to accept this position. In addition, I would like
to thank Jerry Melendy for the leadership he has shown towards the FPGA
and appreciate him pushing me towards this opportunity.
With the unusual current events of Covid-19, we were not able to have
our 2020 Convention. But with the incredible job Dale, Leslie and their great
crew has done, we were still able to do all that was needed to move forward
while still accomplishing all the tasks required for this year.
Unfortunately, it appears that the rest of this calendar year, our safety
school and fall board meetings will have to be done virtually. Our safety and
health come first! Meeting in person has always been beneficial because we
all feed off each other with advice and ideas. We will remain strong through-
out this process! Looking forward to 2021!!
As a family we all need to stay safe and pray for good health to all our
members and families!
Feel free to contact me with any needs or concerns that I might be able to
help with or anything I can help with your businesses throughout the year.
In conclusion I want to thank Sandy and all my family for always being
there for me with the support I need. I could never do it without them!
God bless and stay safe!
Kevin J Bahr
