Words from the Chaplain

                                          Sharon Hingson, FPEM, Chaplain

est – what does it mean to truly rest? Rest has so many connotations
Rin today’s world. To some it could mean a vacation while to others it
may mean to just stop, to breathe, to relax, to pause; the list could go
on. We always look for and seek rest. There is always a need for true
rest, especially while living in the most restless age of our world.
God’s word tells us in Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all of you
who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” This verse is
a great reminder that when times get tough, and they will, that you
can turn to Him and He will give you rest.
I pray that each of you are finding rest, somewhere, sometime
during your day. Remember this – when you feel like you can’t do it,
know that you can do all things through God who gives you strength,
and when you feel like your situation is beyond your control, pray
and surrender. Focus on what you can control and let go of what you
        cannot.
Until we meet again, know I love and am praying for you, praying that you
        are able to find rest.
