Executive Director’s Report
t was refreshing to see many of you on our virtual meeting this past
week. While it was not the same great time we usually have in July, it is
Iimportant that we continue to meet and talk. During the meetings of the
association some great conversations were had much like we always have.
Robbie Robertson gets an award for being the most tech improved in the
industry and for being most attentive and interactive in the meeting. I look
forward to a meeting wholly influenced by Robbie’s energy during our next
event. The sharing of ideas, business partnerships, jokes and laughter, and
lifelong friendships that are made and maintained keep us all productive
and provide support when needed.
As with every July comes a change in our association leadership and
I want to thank Brian Powers for his leadership over the past year espe-
cially but for each year he has served as a FPGA leader. Brian has been
Dale Calhoun,
FPGA Executive Director very helpful in this virtual year of events as he has provided great advice to
sure us up with our decisions. Thank you, Brian; now you will have the best
FPGA position ever, the IPP according to Todd Lawrence.
Coming in we have another great leader and I look forward to working
with him too. Kevin Bahr came into leadership of the FPGA at the same
time as I started as executive director. He has been a great friend and we
have valuable conversations which I learn much from and have no doubt in
his ability to keep the FPGA strong. Congrats, Kevin.
Thank you to everyone for your support to the association, I look for-
ward to more successes together. Stay safe!
Sincerely,
Dale
