Page 18 - A Journey to Pentecost
P. 18

On my journey to Pentecost God shows up to remind us that we have failed to realise that when our circumstances
change it does not have to be detrimental, but we are to turn to Him as David did in the Psalms, with our fears, in
trembling , in our despair and brokenness because there is nowhere else to go. That the deepest longings of our
hearts are not filled by friends, doctors, or medication and so we must cry out to Him the livingGod….

                                                   Dear God

Thank you for showing up on my journey to Pentecost. Thank you for leading and

guiding me through the rough paths and the difficult time. Thank you for your
wisdom and understanding to discern what is your will for me and others. The
impact of your showing up means there is reason for serious reflection and action.

You have shown up and I have poured out my heart to you, I know that as my
heart was poured out that you will heal and transform rather than condemn. On

this eve of Pentecost I only ask for a revival, renewal of our minds, a healing, a
transformation. Let us be continually filled with your Spirit as we fulfil the
mandate that you have chosen us to do. May the coming Holy Spirit continue to

lead all of us on this journey into all truth and may we remain completely faithful
         to your calling. Amen
