Before acting on a situation you’re unsure of, it’s best to consult the Code or your superior or HR first on the best course of action.

One of my subordinates raised a concern/issue to me as his/her superior. What should I do with the information?
It is essential that managers who receive a report, or otherwise become aware of an incident, know what to do and who to contact to ensure the incident is thoroughly and promptly investigated. Superiors should immediately report and discuss the concern to HR. If an investigation occurs, the superior must ensure that the employee is protected from any form of retaliation, whether directly or indirectly.
What happens if I report unethical behavior in good faith and I turn out to be wrong?
FGI has a strict non-retaliation policy for reports made honestly, transparently, and without bias even if the investigation reveals that there was no wrongdoing. To avoid this situation from happening, exercise caution and critical thinking before reporting suspected violations.
