o Cholesterol is found as a component of cell membrane and as a
building block of vitamin D and bile.
But they are needed within certain limits

As elevation of triglycerides and cholesterol → Hyperlipidemia, which in
turn increase the risk of atherosclerosis and coronary heart diseases.
