this: “The fungi appears to be Coprinopsis
atramentaria, commonly known as common ink cap or
inky cap mushrooms. They are also similar in
appearance to huitlacoche or Volvariella volvacea
mushrooms.
They are an edible mushroom while young, but becomes
toxic when combined with alcohol due to the presence of
coprine, which interferes with alcohol metabolism.

considered a delicacy in Mexico, often used in
quesadillas and tacos. Volvariella volvacea, also known
