Education has been among the most disrupted sectors by the pandemic and the
decision to conduct exams or not has posed a major dilemma to schools and
policymakers. One such crisis got closure Thursday when the Supreme Court
approved the CBSE’s 30:30:40 formula to tabulate Class 12 results this year. But
not all students were happy, with many disappointed or anxious that this
formula included Class 11 marks scored by them.
The switch to military theatre commands has been a major defence reform in
the making. But going by the lack of consensus on even its basic structure, this is
still a work in progress. The rollout could be delayed as all stakeholders,
including the three services, are not on the same page, Snehesh Alex Philip
reports.
