support functions, the less we hear about it the more successful the support role. DDS is fortunate to have
two outstanding, capable individuals leading these functions in Michele Granger and Travis Kennedy and I
support them. One unique function for the DDS, CFO involves the many locations we have across the state
and the lease relationships we share with counties and the Department of Public Safety. I have really enjoyed
meeting different county administrators and seeking creative ways to meet the demands of our operations
within the constraints of our budget. Working with our facilities group has been an honor. The successes of
this group are awe inspiring. Mickey Rawls attention to detail and his work ethic are inspirational.

Tell us a little bit about your family.

I am very proud of my three sons. Chad is 37, Adam is 35 and Trey is 24. Chad is the Service Manager at Nalley
Hyundai and lives in McDonough close to me. Adam is in Florida with his mother and Trey attends Florida
State and lives in Tallahassee Florida. He plans to graduate Spring 2018 and start his career in computer
technology. Cherry is the Love of my Life, we have been together for the past 18 years. She lives in Panama
City Beach Florida and has two girls (Crystal and Chelsea) and two wonderful grandchildren (Alivia and
Kennedy). I Love this picture!

Where do you go to get away from work and relax?
Florida, I love the beach and the ocean. I also enjoy the golf course and going back to Rome.
What is something interesting about you that most folks would not know?
I dated Miss Georgia in college. I have fond memories of attending a Braves game at the old Fulton County
stadium and escorting her onto the field to sing the National Anthem.
