Ask DDS Day was a Huge Success!
Commissioner Spencer R. Moore declared that the 2018 Ask DDS Day was an immense success. The agency
hosted “Ask DDS Day” on May 2, 2018 at the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center in Macon, Georgia. 277
attendees enjoyed the event including 9 sponsors and 15 exhibitors, making this year’s conference a success
and the largest turnout to date. Additionally, this year’s conference offered breakout sessions and a catered
lunch. Commissioner Moore said, “It is the goal of our annual event to cultivate and maintain open lines of
communication with driver safety programs throughout the state. This conference is the perfect opportunity
for School Owners, Instructors, Third-Party Examiners, Ride Share Drivers, Court Personnel, Bulk MVR
Requestors, and Ignition Interlock Providers to receive information on a number of strategic initiatives, new
legislation and updates.” Commissioner Moore, along with Field Operations Director Kecia Bivins, kicked off
the event with an exciting Opening Session which included the Macon-Bibb County National Guard Honor
Guard and a guest vocalist from Mercer University.
