Project Team Honored
Congratulations to the Intelligent Mail Bar Code Project Team for receiving a Georgia Technology Au-
thority (GTA) Award. The Team received the award in the Category: Cross-boundary Collaboration and
Partnerships in the annual technology recognition program. Projects recognized in this category dem-
onstrate what is possible when jurisdictions and agencies work together to solve a problem, address a
need, or pursue a new opportunity.
The project involved making a change to legislation and replacing certified mail with a free tool from
the U.S Postal Service which allows DDS to save, over $1.2 million tax payer dollars annually. To learn
