   Chief Information Officer Jeff Smith and Deputy Director of Regulatory Compliance Kyle Cain recently were acknowl-
   edged for their work with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA).  AAMVA is our Agency
   association that represents the state, provincial, and territorial officials in the United States and Canada who administer
   and enforce motor vehicle laws. Commissioner Moore serves on the Board of Directors.

   AAMVA’s programs encourage uniformity and reciprocity among the states and provinces. The association also serves
   as a liaison with other levels of government and the private sector. Its development and research activities provide
   guidelines for more effective public service.






                                                                 Jeff Smith was presented a plaque by Commissioner
                                                                 Moore for his service on the AAMVA's Managing Data
                                                                 Privacy and External Access Work Group. This work
                                                                 group developed a best practice guide for motor ve-
                                                                 hicle agencies to protect driver and vehicle records,
                                                                 provide access and authorize usage consistent with
                                                                 law, and apply effective and efficient approaches to
                                                                 internal and external audit practices.























        Kyle Cain served on the Driver Standing Com-
        mittee. This Committee works across all disci-
        plines to assist member jurisdictions and the
        other Standing Committees by improving and
        promoting safety, security and service within
        driver programs through education, leader-
        ship, communication and the development of
        uniform practices.
