Fannin County Bus Road-eo

Ya Hoo!!

You may have been to a rodeo with
horses, cowboys and clowns, but
have you ever been to a road-eo?

Our very own Melinda Wilson,
District 1 Manager, was a judge at
this year’s Fannin County Bus Road-
eo in Blue Ridge on April 11th.

Each year, Fannin County bus drivers
compete on a skills course for the
bragging rights of being the district’s
top driver.

It is a great way to promote safety
within the school bus drivers. In fact,
safety competitions have proven to
be one of the most effective
instructional tools to improve a
person’s driving skills. Plus, it is fun!

The drivers competed in student
loading, parking and maneuvering
tests and started it off with an
exercise to find five pre-trip defects
in five minutes.

Thanks to Melinda for taking time out
of her busy schedule to give back to
the community.
