Deputy Commissioner Ricky Rich was recently named Chair of
the AAMVA State-to-State (S2S) Governance Committee. He
served as Vice Chair the previous year. The State-to-State (S2S)
Governance Committee was formed to oversee improvements,
enhancements, and changes related to the S2S Verification
Service and its use. The S2S Subcommittee sits under the
Governance Committee and makes recommendations for their
approval concerning limitations, prioritizes enhancement
needs, and identifies opportunities for improving the
application and associated operational procedures and best
practices.
The State-to-State (S2S) Verification Service is a means for a
state to electronically check with all other participating states
to determine if the applicant currently holds a driver license or
identification card in another state. This program stops those
who are ineligible for a credential in one state to obtain
issuance in a neighboring state eliminating unsafe drivers from
being on the road.
General Counsel Completes
Leadersip Academy
DDS General Council Angelique
McClendon recently completed the
AAMVA Leadership Academy. The
week-long academy takes place each
year in the spring and includes
modules on defining leadership, team
work and collaboration, organizational
performance management, and more.
It is an intense training opportunity
focused on the unique characteristics
of leading and managing a motor
vehicle or law enforcement agency.
Congrats Angelique!
