A group attended the recent American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Region 2
Conference held in Norfolk, Virginia. Team Members attended sessions on hot topics, including driver
testing, vehicle safety, identity management, record processing, customer service strategies, law
enforcement, and more. Along with learning opportunities, the conference provided the chance to network
and consult with peers, and to connect with industry partners to discover business solutions. We had several
Team Members provide presentations, and DDS received two awards - the Community Service Award for the
Soles for Souls Project and the Innovative Use of Technology Award for the VRT Project.
Director of Field Operations Kecia Bivins facilitated two Conference Sessions: Drivers License Suspension
Alternatives and the Digital Trust Service. Commissioner Moore was a presenter for the License Suspension
Alternatives Session and General Counsel Angelique McClendon was a presenter for the Mobile ID and the
Digital Trust Service; Field Operations Deputy Director Pierre Miles provided a presentation on the Virtual
Road Test (VRT) for the New Models in Driver Road Testing Session.
Thanks to everyone who attended and presented for representing DDS at this important event.
