IT Safety Tip: How to Avoid
Phishing
Some phish aren't supposed to be fed.
From our phones to computers, we're constantly
engaged in a digital world. However, are you keeping
you personal and work information safe?
The information below is from Kym Vrooman in the IT
Department on how to recognize Phishing attacks.
Microsoft Office 365 remains a top target for scammers, they are trying to obtain
your credentials in order to access sensitive agency information and use the email
account to send spear phishing attacks (targeted to a specific person). Be also
aware of fake OneNote or SharePoint notifications which ask you to click on a link
rather than open a file.
The chart below shows the top sites that are impersonated for scamming and the
top day for phishing traffic.
