DDS is Real ID OFFICIAL!!
Commissioner Moore has been officially notified
by Elizabeth Neumann, Assistant Secretary for
Threat Prevention and Security Policy, Homeland
Security, that DDS, and the State of Georgia,
continue to be Real ID Compliant!
The recertification process included an extensive
DHS review which included a CSC site visit and
several interviews.
As the Real ID deadline for what credentials
are acceptable for official purposes begins
on October 1, 2020, DDS continues to lead
the nation for Real ID compliance and
implementation. Over 96.2% of valid licenses and
ID Cards are Real ID compliant in Georgia.
There are no other states that have achieved that
number. In fact, many States are experiencing
long lines and wait times as they ramp up their
Real ID programs.
