Existing Meeting & boardroom facilities that are already VC equipped can also be reviewed as
minimal video input and single person imagery and audio no longer being the norm.
Inevitable changes in a whole office environment over the past year or so, has meant business
owners and line managers no longer feel the need to physically engage with employees in order to
trust they are undertaking relevant tasks. Pre-pandemic, same room team meetings can now be
negated with a tailored hybrid solution.
A recent survey suggested that 72% of employees wished to work remotely at least 2 days a week,
but only 32% suggested that they would like to do this full time. In order to accommodate this trend
companies should look to facilitate the needs of their workforce, whilst laptops have their place in
any remote set-up, fixed point, narrow angled camera’s and microphones, along with poor lighting
and acoustics can often make meetings and collaborations seem unprofessional.
Meeting room upgrades & re-fits should be a business priority as we return to the workspace, large
screen monitors with touch facilities, along with more conducive cameras and microphones
should be the norm.
Whilst it is important to remember that hybrid working will be the catalyst for change in the
workplace, more so meeting spaces, the right investment in the right workplace solution for your
business will ensure the whole space works how and when you want it to.
