ANNUAL TREE MAINTENANCE
The annual tree survey has been completed for the new financial year; this is an important process using the knowledge and skills of our preferred tree surgeon.
The Board absolutely has a desire to maintain and keep all trees and bushes in a healthy and safe condition and would like to stress to all residents that no tree is ever removed unless it is essential and poses a hazard to pedestrians or vehicles.
Sadly over the past couple of years, three larger trees had to be felled as they had considerable disease and rot, and a further
tree after serious storm damage. This year another two trees, one in Willowhayne Avenue and one in Westfield Drive, have been identified as having serious disease, and will unfortunately be felled in order to stop the disease spreading to other healthy trees.
We have a budget for new trees and more trees have been planted than felled. The Board ask that if any resident wishes to plant new trees in their verge to contact Arun Office Services to discuss their intentions and agreement can be made to ensure suitable trees are planted.
