PHOEBE ELLIS
Phoebe, who is currently studying Sport at Llandrillo College, was selected for Welsh Colleges to play in the women's football tournament in Rome. The tournament ran from 26th February to 1st March.
Phoebe plays for Connah’s Quay Womens and Connah’s Quay Under 19s and has scored 29 goals, so far this season. Wales played Lazio, Canada and Lithuania but unfortunately the girls did not make it past the group stages.
Phoebe commented:
“I had a great experience with a fantastic group of girls, I look to build on this and I hope I can represent Welsh Colleges again in the future. I have been asked to play again in April vs England Colleges.
It has given me great confidence moving forward and I was proud to represent Wales”.
Charlotte Walker-Jones, Llandrillo College, Level 3 Sports Coaching Coordinator said:
“This was a fantastic experience for Phoebe and I am very proud that she has represented Welsh colleges, Phoebe deserved the chance and I hope there are more opportunities coming her way”.
