4. Don’t forget your wheels and tires
The wheels and tires have the toughest job in winter. They are exposed directly to all the slush, ice and road salt. Your tires need a good quality tire dressing on them throughout the winter. This will provide them with a barrier to the cold and contaminants that can cause rubber to deteriorate. Your wheels are expensive and easily damaged in the cold winter. I recommend coating each wheel with a good sealant wax to protect them. One more simple trick that really works is to coat your wheel wells with a silicone based tire dressing, this helps prevent the buildup of slush and ice under your car.
5. Seal your convertible top
If your Porsche has a canvas top it must be sealed to keep water from penetrating the material. If moisture gets into the material, then freezes, your top will be prone to severe damage. There are several good conditioner sealants available on the market. Be safe use one to protect your top.
I hope these tips can help you have fun this winter with your Porsche. Remember that Porsches come from Germany and are built to drive in the winter also!!!
