honor of serving as your president has been passed on to me, and excited about what the next few years will bring.
It seems but a blink of the eye ago when I joined PCA and started receiving information about our Kansas City Region. I told my lovely wife, “I think I’ll go to the club breakfast and check it out.” I had a 944 Turbo at the time and was ready to meet other Porsche fanatics.
I’m glad I went. I met lots of great people, learned a lot about my car, and most importantly found a community.
My new year wish for you is to discover the community of KCRPCA. Come out to any of our events. We have lots to choose from; BBQ dinners, tech events, breakfast, fun runs to parts unknown, and what I am very excited about - TRACK TIME at Heartland Park. More on that later.
Expect 2017 to be a big year. You are already seeing the rst big change, a new look to your national award winning newsletter, the Der Sportwagen. We are going for a cleaner look. New fonts, more white space, and more pictures. These changes are being done to match the second big change, a new KCRPCA website. The new website will focus more on promoting our events and telling the story of the KCRPCA. We will even be launching a KCRPCA apparel portal. We want non-members to know more about us and hopefully join in on the fun. And if that is not enough, we have more events on our calendar than ever!
That brings me to our biggest announcement: TRACK DAYS ARE BACK! Heartland Park has been completely re nished. They took 3” of paving off and laid in 100% fresh smooth go-fast black asphalt. Bob Wayman & David Stadtmueller, our Racing Chairs, will be heading up KCRPCA’s return to Heartland Park.
I look forward to 2017. I look forward to the adventures I will have with friends I have and those yet to meet. I look forward to serving as your KCRPCA president.

HIELLO AGAIN
am feeling rather humbled and my new year wish for you is to come be excited right now. Humbled that the a part of your KCRPCA.
Expect 2017 to be a big year; a new look to the Der Sportwagen, a new website, a KCRPCA apparel line, and track days are back!
My point is this; I did not know how much fun having a Porsche was until I enjoyed it with other Porsche enthusiasts. Ownership has become bigger than a beautiful performance car in the garage. It has become something for my lovely wife and I to do as a couple. It has become something I do with friends. Yes,
