MEET A CLUB MEMBER
The KCRPCA is made up of a wonderful and diverse group of club members. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds. As Membership Chair, I always enjoy learning a little bit about everyone. In this month’s edition of the Der Sportwagen, I would like to introduce this month’s feature: very special club member Jack Booth.

1WHAT YEAR DID YOU JOIN THE PCA?
I joined PCA in 1973, the year after I bought my first Porsche. It was the Florida Crown Region; I lived in Jacksonville, FL at the time.
3TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.
I’ve been happily married to my wife Cindy for almost ten years. My daughter Lori and my brother Don (who has a 2009 Cayman) live in the Atlanta area.

2WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I was born in Indianapolis, but I’ve lived in Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia. My Dad was a Field Engineer with the Allison Division of GM and he was transferred around quite a bit. I lived in the Atlanta, GA area for 42 years before my wife and I moved to KCKS in 2019.

The current (and probably last) one is a 2007 997 GT3 that I’ve
had since 2012. At the time, I had a 1987 Carrera coupe that a long time Porsche friend wanted. He was the previous owner of the GT3, but he was more into the wasserboxers and we ended up doing a “buddy trade” plus some cash on my end. The GT3 is my 22nd Porsche.
