5WHAT LINE OF WORK ARE YOU IN?
I am retired now, but before that
I was with the automobile claims department of State Farm Insurance for 33 1/2 years. I was a Claims Manager when I retired in 2004.
6WHAT’S BEST ABOUT YOUR PORSCHE?
I came from the air-cooled era and always had a bigger soft spot for those, even after having a 924, 928, 987 Boxster and a 996 Carrera. Of the newer ones, my favorite was the ‘97 first generation Boxster. To me, it was the modern 914-6, but with nearly twice the horsepower. But even though I am not a fast driver
in my advanced age, the GT3 is
in a whole different solar system from every other Porsche that I was fortunate to own from a driving perspective. It handles like a slot car and has more power than I will ever
need or use. While it rides pretty much like a Georgia log truck, it is the most communicative car to drive of any make that I have ever owned.

Actually, very little; just a Fabspeed center muffler delete
and a second set of wheels and tires. The original wheels are
silver Champion Motorsport ones that were installed by the original selling dealer (Champion Porsche in Florida) and the current ones are dark anthracite gray OZ copies that give it a more aggressive look. The gray ones have been on it a long time, so I’ll probably switch back to the Champions in the Spring.
