someday.
My dad was a major car guy and always seemed to have something cool in the garage. A new Pontiac GTO was one of the last cars he
had before he retired. I had a new Pontiac Firebird in ‘67 when they first came out and after my day job materialized and I had a house with a garage, there were a few older Mustangs, Corvettes and a ‘65 GTO. Most of them were fixer-uppers, but I did enjoy doing light restoration work. I learned how to paint from
a good friend who was the chief painter at a local body shop. The blue widebody ‘87 Carrera in the picture below was one that my brother and I backdated to a Carrera RS 3.0 in 2010.
My current non-Porsche fun car is a ‘69 Camaro SS that was my last (and final) restoration project. It looks stock but isn’t. There are lots of mods that don’t photograph.
11TOP 3 CARS TO OWN?
1.) My current GT3.
2.) A one-owner black-on-black 1962 Corvette with both tops that I foolishly sold.
3.) A ‘93 RS America that I wish I could have kept. It was my favorite air-cooled Porsche.
12FAVORITE VACATION DESTINATION?
I first met Jack at breakfast. It’s always fun to chat to with
a new member as enthusiastic as Jack. Top that off with all his stories about his cars. Jack will be a great asset to the club.

In the USA, most anywhere in Florida with a nice beach. Overseas, pretty much anywhere in Germany.
