ROADS LESS TRAVELED
WESTON TOUR
A WINDING ROAD TO RIVERWOOD WINERY
The KCRPCA has several driving tours throughout the year. For me, the ones that wind through northern Missouri are my favorites. That puts the Weston driving tour high on my list.

It’s always interesting to stand in a Walmart parking lot and watch one Porsche after another Porsche come rolling in. One becomes five, then becomes 10, then 30, and, well you get the picture.
Arriving at the designated meeting point well before the scheduled departure time allows time for the required signing of the PCA waivers and more im- portantly time to talk with old friends and meet new members
After a short driver’s meeting to review the route and to stress safety and courtesy, we were split into two drive groups to limit congestion and to avoid annoying the often admiring other drivers on the roads. Once on the road, we were led along a wonder-
ful mix of mostly back roads as we headed generally north. The route intentionally avoided con- struction zones as well as popu- lated areas of towns as much as possible. There were tree-lined
and guests. Of course, there was also some time for viewing and picture taking of the old and new cars as they arrived. There were several examples of new machin- ery as well as the classics in the mix of almost forty cars.
