Many club members drive summer tires all year round. Summer performance tires feature tread compounds engineered to provide traction in warm to hot ambient temperatures. They were never intended to experience near or below freezing temperatures, nor the wintry driving conditions that often accompany them.
Your board is determined to not let mother nature win. We plan on rescheduling the Lawrence Fun Run to later this year. And, BIG NEWS, we might hold a regional autocross event. Details are to be worked out, but this could be a busy summer.

participating in the Advanced DE. I made the trip up to watch some of the race and partake in the parade laps. If you missed them, they are quite fun. It gives you a good taste of the track. Club events will be coming at you like rapid re as we enter the driving season. Please keep an eye out for emails. They are the best way for us to keep you updated. We do our best to update the website and newsletter, but emails are best.
I am proud to announce that KCRPCA is nearing 800 members (primary and ancillary). That is a big number. I want to say a special thank you to the board members and chairmen of our many events. They really do go out of their way to put on great events for you.
If you think you would like to help, please reach out to me. We would love to have you. You will make new friends and get more out of your car than you ever thought possible... unless it is snowing and raining.
