never went anywhere for vacation. I was told he would speak highly of how much money he had saved. To that my father would add, “I’d rather be rich in memories and adventures with you boys.”
I apply that thinking to the KCRPCA. The home page of our website talks about how we celebrate Porsche ownership by creating unique driving and social experiences for our club members. (www.kcrpca.org)
In 2017, we had 26 events on our calendar. We had two very successful track events at Heartland Park, three autocrosses and  ve fun runs, covering the region from Lawrence, to Weston, to
holidays at Union Station, with 65 in attendance.
We are a club that makes memories.
The top memory for me was going to the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta. Being given keys to seven brand new offerings from Porsche’s line up was a dream come true. Hammering them around their test track was beyond my expectations. Doing all of it with some of my best friends made it perfect. Do not miss this event for 2018.

Of course, there was the Independence Fun Run, where we somehow got included into a parade!(Thanks, Fred) A young kid sitting on the sidewalk yelled to his mom, “This is the best parade ever!” Maybe we should try to be of cially invited next year.
