Manhattan
Financial Secretary Lieutenant Jack Conway
Greetings, As Commanding Officer of the Ceremonial Unit and a 22 year veteran of the NYPD, I have had the pleasure of working in numerous commands in Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan. In each of the precincts I worked, I was introduced to different cultures and walks of life. I always loved learning about different ethnicities and cultures and introducing my Italian customs to others. It was always amazing seeing how much we had in common and where we were different. That is what makes New York City the greatest city in the world; many different walks of life coming together and coexisting to make the most diverse place there is.
With those thoughts in mind, it is now my honor to serve as the Financial Secretary for Manhattan, the pearl of the city that never sleeps. I look forward to meeting you and hope to see you at our monthly meetings. Be safe and God Bless!
Brooklyn Financial Secretary
Lieutenant John Balestriere
As a first generation Italian American, attending our Columbia Association meetings and functions have been something I have enjoyed since starting my career in the NYPD. It is fulfilling to spend time with our members whom I can relate to and share in our rich culture. It is an honor to serve this organization as the Brooklyn Financial Secretary. I have worked in Brooklyn for most of my career and I am proud to have done so. Members are welcome to join us and keep our organization and culture alive.
