Staten Island
Financial Secretary Sergeant Anthony Cannata
I have been a member of the Columbia Association for 15 years. I became a delegate in 2012 representing the 121st Precinct. Then, I became a Trustee in 2015. Now, I am the Financial Secretary—elected to this role in 2019.
I am a first generation American. My father hails from Sicily and my mother originated from Bari. I have a unique perspective about our culture and am proud to share it with our Department and City. I am proud to instill Italian-American values in my four children. I hope they will also pass these values on to my descendants.
As the Financial Secretary, I intend to further the mission of the Columbia Association by enhancing Italian-American culture within the Department. Further, I will stay in close contact with the delegates across Staten Island to ensure our membership in the organization increases every year.
