SCATTER
Our Neighborhood.
Across Eastern Avenue, the former decades old eyesore of the PEMCO industrial factory is being
slowly redeveloped into a vibrant retail center. The first retailers to sign a lease for the new
development, Chipotle, Panda Express, Fulton Bank, Jersey Mikes Sub’s, and LA Fitness have opened
their doors, while Streets Market is expected to open in the fall.
Six new retailers, Starbucks, Royal Farms, Jersey Mike's Subs, Total Athlete Nutrition, Eyes on Eastern,
and a Nékter Juice Bar, have signed leases at Yard 56. Royal Farms will relocate its store that is just
east of Yard 56 to the new development and expand to hold gas pumps and a car wash alongside a
2,000-square-foot store. These retailers will help bring phase I of construction to an end while also
rounding out a cool mix of national and local tenants that are going to make Yard 56 an awesome
Baltimore destination.
Phase II of the Construction of Yard 56 is slated to commence in late 2020. The phase will feature a
100,000-square-foot medical office building, 225 apartment units that will add 6,000 square feet of
street retail as well as a 639-space parking garage to accommodate both developments. Additionally,
Phase II has land earmarked for a future development.
