Remembrance Sunday 2020

Every year, the RAF Air Cadets participate in the public Remembrance parades in our villages, town and cities.
This year was no different, albeit the commemorations were of a different kind.

Some squadrons joined together for a Virtual Parade; others marked it with social media posts and other acts of

socially-distanced remembrance. Some Squadron commanders laid wreaths at local war memorials privately.

“This year, on Remembrance Sunday, we remember at home, for silence
speaks when words can not. “

“Whilst this was a day that no Squadron across the Royal Air Force Air
Cadets would miss, we take solitude that collectively those who paid the
ultimate sacrifice were in our thoughts today.”
“This year we have been unable to participate in a formal parade, but staff
and cadets have still taken the time to pause and reflect on the sacrifice
made by so many.”
