to go? Decided I’d just play it by ear and plan it on the Gerry (Bullfrog) Bloemen
go.
So off we went, straight through the N.P., only to be
caught out at Bald Hill – appears there was a film crew
doing whatever and had it blocked off. So, a quick U-
turn, which caught Monkey a bit by surprise, but he
managed to extricate himself without any issue and so
back through Otford. Then the usual way to Wilton and
onto the Bargo off-ramp then along the Old Hume H’way
through the ‘Y’ towns. Onto Hilltop turn-off then along
country that had been devastated by fire to Thirlmere –
it is good to see how nature was at work repairing itself
and it shouldn’t be too long until it is back to its former
pristine self. After a pleasant morning tea in the sun we
proceeded through Picton, Razorback, Douglas Park,
Appin from there to home. In all it was a relatively short
ride and I only managed to click up some 245K’s.
Might note, there were twelve of us riding plus one
pillion – namely; Rob ‘Tunnels’, Rob ‘Seagull’, Keith
‘Gorilla’, John ‘TT’, Owen & the lovely Leslie, Les, Col
‘Colonel’, Greg ’Popeye’, Jim ‘Slim’, Peter ‘Monkey’,
Bruce ‘Multistrada’ and moi. Must say though that this
was the best crew that I have had the pleasure of leading
astray. The only times I stopped was when we had to and
the group stayed well bunched up the whole time.
Possibly aided by out TEC acting as a cattle dog who did a
sterling job in keeping the horde together – well done
‘TT’.
