4. Another theory for preparation of ointment by fusion method:
4.1. Melt ingredients with the highest melting point first and gradually reduce the
heat while adding the ingredients with the next lowest melting point, then
the next …etc.
4.2. This is to ensure that ingredients will be exposed to the lowest possible
temperature and thus enhance the stability of the final product.
