        The golden grains of sand
shimmered in the sun. Home is always my favourite place to be
The children had planned It could be in the country,
to make the most of their fun. or maybe by the sea
It wouldn’t matter as long as I
The fresh crystal blue sea still had my favourite place
lapped on the children’s feet No matter where I go,
which made them giggle with glee. home is still my secret base.
Soon they ran away to eat.
Lovely, cosy doona in the dark night
The tall green palm trees Coming home in the dark
rustled in the wind this place shines a bright light
The sky darkened quick as the breeze. My loving family is my favourite bit
Storm clouds thickened We love each other. We’re really close-knit.
as sunlight thinned. Of course, you may not feel the same way.

On their faces were thick grey raindrops
they looked up in the sky and
        saw their worst fears.
Quickly they ran into their seaside home

Then, them chasing me up a steep hill.
Playing with the tiny preppies, I look through my drawer
They’re adorable and there are so many! There’s a dress I adore.
