P. 10
09| BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT
TELEPHONE
The majority of students / children will have their own mobile phones. Host families will not expect students to make calls on their home phone except in an emergency.
Please be aware that if you use their phone to make outgoing calls you could run up a huge phone bill and your parents will be charge.
RELIGION
If you have strong religious beliefs and wish
to your host about this. They will then assist in helping you find the nearest church / mosque etc.
DAMAGE
Students are responsible for any damage they cause to the house and to its fixtures and fittings (fair wear and tear being the exception) When staying with a host family you should treat your room and the house with respect. Please be careful if you use things like hair straighteners. Make sure that you turn these off after use and don’t
leave them where they could burn the carpet or furniture. If the hosts allow tea / coffee in the room, please use a tray and avoid spills. Please let your host know if an accident has occurred – it is much better they hear it from you rather than finding out after you have left.
